Nursery Deputy Manager

My client (nursery) in Staines Upon Thames is seeking a nursery deputy manager. You must be qualified to a minimum of a level 3 nursery practitioner qualification to apply and also have experience as a deputy or room leader.

This position requires the candidate to work in both the office and the rooms.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of nursery staff in providing high-quality care and education to children.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and programs that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, including observations, assessments, and developmental milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all, times.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
  • A relevant childcare qualification for the role [NNEB,or NVQ 3/Diploma]
  • Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early childhood education setting.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification is required.
