In this vital role, you’ll be at the heart of our project success—developing detailed programmes of work, monitoring progress, andoptimising resources to ensure every stage, from tender to completion, runs smoothly. You’ll work closely with project teams and
client representatives, sequencing activities effectively and proactively mitigating risks to keep projects on track, on time, and
within budget.

Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project programmes using project management software packages (e.g., Microsoft Project).
- In conjunction with the project team, develop the methodology to enable the most efficient and effective delivery of the
- Develop and maintain all versions of design, contract and working project programmes utilised and work closely with project
- Define project critical paths, milestones, timelines, and deliverables based on contract requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and develop contingency plans to mitigate any risks.
- Undertake site visits to develop construction sequencing methodologies to inform programme development and to aid with
- Recording and showing impact to critical paths by detailing slippage to enhance submissions for delay entitlement claims.
- To develop tender programmes to support qualitative tender submissions along with any other support required at bid stage for
- Maintain properly documented programme logs and assist the HMS document control protocols.
- Attend project reviews and design team meetings for projects throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- To prepare and present progress reports of project progress against programmes.
- Attend prestart meetings with clients and sub-contractors where necessary.
- Assist in the creation of exit strategies prior to client handover.
- To ensure a positive profile for HMS through effective business relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Assist the Project Management Team to identify and develop new initiatives and take advantage of business opportunities
- To carry out such other duties and responsibilities as are consistent with the concept of the role.
Skills & Experience:
- HNC/HND in Construction or NVQ 4 in Construction discipline or working towards one.
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Able to demonstrate considerable knowledge of Construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Experience of project planning and sequencing including proficient use of recognised planning software (e.g., Microsoft
- Strong understanding of construction process, resources, and timelines.
- Experience of compiling delays programmes and have a good working knowledge of delay analysis techniques to support potential
- Working knowledge of JCT and NEC contract families.
- Experience of project management and project co-ordination.
- Site health & safety awareness.
- Experience of implementing new initiatives.
