Main Purpose
To have overall responsibility of the centre in the absence of the Centre Head and manage the centre in accordance with the defined operational procedures and ensure the security of premises and equipment under their control.
The person responsible for filling this role will assist the Centre Head in managing the daily operation of the site. The person should ensure safe and good practice is adopted by all staff in the carrying out of the daily tasks and activities happening on site, ensuring company H&S procedures and industry guidance is followed.
The role will oversee, manage and motivate leisure staff, reception staff and cleaners.
The Duty Manager will be hands on in their role and while overseeing daily operations, they will also be required to uptake some of the workload of the leisure staff. The Duty Manager should assist with development of the site over time.
Skills- Experience in managing a buildings operation.
- Experience in supervising or managing staff.
- Experience in working with the public.
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written).
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate and work well in a team-based environment.
- Ability to think and make quick decisions under pressure.
- NPLQ certificate.
- Pool Plant Operator Qualification.
- Level 2 Fitness Instructing Qualification.
- Fitness class qualifications
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office Apps).
