Service Engineer
We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team in Muir of Ord. As a service engineer with Scot JCB you will visit a variety of customer sites throughout the area to carry out maintenance, repairs and services on our customers machines to a high standard working on brands such as JCB, Horsch, and Ktwo.

Key duties and responsibilities:
- Repairing and maintaining machines on customers sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer’s specification
- Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines
- Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily on a phone or tablet
- Submitting daily timesheets and job cards
- Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department
- Working closely with the service supervisor
- Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers
- Carrying out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required - in conformance with manufacturer’s specification and any regulations affecting their use
- Ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine – and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipments
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ in Construction Plant / Agricultural / HGV / Light Vehicle etc (essential)
- Experience in plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy environment
- Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers
- Good IT skills
- A flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work
