Paediatric Staff Nurse – Starlight Ward - Oncology
Starlight Ward is our paediatric oncology, haematology and bone marrow transplant inpatient ward. We are the principal treatment centre in the south west for haematology and oncology and an international referral centre for bone marrow transplant.We have 17 cubicles and predominately care for 0-12 year olds.
There is a robust ward induction and a thorough and supportive supernumerary period. On starlight we have a passion for education and a Clinical Skills Facilitator to support upskilling and competencies available for all nurses.
We have an In-house educational programme including introduction to cancer, regional programme and chemotherapy training plus external learning opportunities including conference attendance, university courses and modules.

We have vacancies for full and part time nurses who have completed their preceptorship.

If you are a registered adult nurse but have experience and competence in working with paediatric oncology patients then we welcome your application. Unfortunately we are unable to support nurses that require OSCE in order to register with the NMC UK.
