Your Role: As an Advanced Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will support our registered Biomedical Scientists and be an integral part of our team. Your primary focus will be on the implementation of Digital Pathology, a cutting-edge technology that enhances our diagnostic capabilities.

Contractual Requirements
Essential criteria- Full time working hours (37.5 hours per week) working 5 out of 7 days
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Basic Medical Terminology
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Min. 4 GCSE or equivalent to grade C or above
- IT Qualification
Skills/Attributes
Essential criteria- Data input skills
- High levels of accuracy
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to contribute to effective team working
- Ability to organise own work to meet required deadlines
Further Training
Essential criteria- NVQ 2 (clinical lab support)
- Internal Training and experience For Cellular pathology techniques (Equivalent to NVQ 3)
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience as MLA in a Histopathology Department
- Knowledge of scientific terminology
- Previous tissue embedding or section cutting (microtomy) skills
