The Secured Credit Risk team is responsible for managing the asset quality of the Societys mortgage portfolios, which includes designing effective new lending strategies, managing the credit quality of the portfolios and providing specialist credit risk advice to the business.

The team use their analytical skills and experience to provide insight that helps our business directors make informed decisions.   • driven insights into the mortgage portfoliosUsing this insightful analysis to design effective and robust credit strategiesEvolving our credit control and portfolio management approach to support the growth of our mortgage portfoliosInnovating to utilise new data sources to improve processes and increase the automation of the customer journeyEnsuring that insightful and data driven management information and analysis is produced and emerging risks are identifiedManaging stakeholder relationships and representing Credit Risk at internal and external meetings, influencing decisions where necessaryProviding expert advice to business partners and designing pragmatic solutions that support financial plan whilst ensuring our lending stays within risk appetiteOur workload is highly varied requiring strong organisational skills to reprioritise your own and others workload at short noticeDiligently reviewing regular reporting to ensure accuracyEnsuring all Governance requirements are met and periodically reviewed.However you undertake your work, the purpose will always be the same
  • your role will be to provide insightful analysis which enables the Society to make good decisions for our members.About youAs a minimum requirement, youll have experience of:Leading or coaching Analysts in a Credit Risk functionUsing statistical and analytical tools (ideally SAS) and working with large datasetsInnovating to find solutions to problems and/or efficiency improvementsProducing insightful analytics and using this to design effective and robust credit strategiesOur Customer First behaviours are all about putting customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
