Corporate Paralegal - Newbury

We are recruiting for a Corporate / Commercial Paralegal to assist with the drafting of Business Agreements, Terms of Business, and Non-Disclosure Agreements. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in commercial contracts, looking to further their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Review and amend contractual documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support the business in managing legal and external supplier relationships, including engagement agreements.
• Handle legal administration tasks such as record keeping and proofreading documents for accuracy.
• Monitor compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, providing advice and guidance on upcoming changes.
• Maintain and support a contract template library.
• Assist in identifying and supporting contracting strategies to mitigate risk and streamline the contract process with customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience as a commercial paralegal, with a strong focus on commercial contracts.
• Educated to degree level, preferably with a law degree.
• Professional and precise communication skills, capable of translating legal requirements into layman’s terms.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Ability to work effectively without supervision and meet deadlines.
• High level of precision and accuracy with a pragmatic approach.
• Strong initiative and common sense are essential.
