Full job description
Seeking a motivated and skilled Senior or Prinicpal level Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Newcastle. In this role, you will work on a variety of exciting projects, from affordable residential estates to renewable energy initiatives.You will be responsible for preparing reports, drawings, and specifications for development infrastructure, focusing primarily on highway and drainage elements. This position offers the opportunity to lead design development processes while collaborating with clients and various stakeholders.
Key Skills/Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (minimum requirement).
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years' experience in engineering design.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Skilled in digital design tools such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D, PDS, MicroDrainage, and Causeway Flow.
- Experience in producing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports.
- Knowledge of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS) features.
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- Familiarity with local and national standards for highway designs.
- Experience progressing S278 / 38 agreements for adoption of works.
- Design Expertise:
- Proficient in detailed drainage network design and navigating S106 agreements for adoption processes.
- Strong understanding of relevant design codes and standards.
- Collaboration Skills:
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client engagement.
- Analytical Skills:
- Experience in producing Technical Reports.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for innovative solutions in competitive environments.
