As a teaching assistant, you will collaborate with teachers to support student learning and assist with classroom management. Your responsibilities may include providing one-on-one support to students with additional needs, as well as helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and dynamic learning environment for students of all ages and abilities.

About the role:

  • You will be responsible for creating a safe learning environment for one to ones and small groups within a classroom and school activities.
  • You will support the teacher with classroom tasks, activities and bring the curriculum to life.
  • Support the children in your care to achieve their own personal goals.

Person Specification:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Have the ability to build strong relationship with pupils and staff.
  • Have a positive mindset with supporting children.
  • Follow safeguarding protocols and keep pupils safe.
  • Be able to use own initiative and use problem solving skills.

Key Information:

  • Location: Secondary School, Ellesmere Port
  • Role: Unqualified Teaching Assistant
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Start Date: February
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
