Driver/Warehouse assistant
The Production Family delivers unusual, innovative and extraordinary experiences to the highest levels in the live events and theatre industry.
This role is a freelance part time position averaging 12 hours per week. There will be flexibility in the days and times needed but this will be discussed on a rolling basis dependent on the schedule of events.The role is varied and will be working with the full-time team to prep and deliver a wide range of events. The role will include driving our vehicles as well as hired. The role will also include warehouse duties including preparing technical equipment for hire and use on events.
There will also be the opportunity to work with our Construction Manager in our on-site workshop building set and prop items for events and productions. Previous experience in theatre and events is not necessary.As this role requires driving, we will need someone with a full licence who feels comfortable driving larger vehicles. Our office is based in Crouch End in North London so proximity to the office would be preferred.
Required Skills:- Clean Full UK Driving Licence and experience driving vans up Luton size.
- Innovative problem solving with a desire to learn in the role
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a large team while also be comfortable with lone working
- Experience of working in a theatre or events setting
- Basic knowledge of technical equipment, including lighting sound and AV
- An interest in theatre and live events
- Awareness of basic health and safety practices in a theatrical setting
Hours vary depending on the season.
