We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Research Delivery Manager (Clinical Research Matron if NMC registered) to join the Research and Innovation Directorate at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
We are seeking an experienced registered health professional with an extensive background in research delivery to grow and manage our portfolio.
The Trust is looking for a dynamic and compassionate leader, with experience of managing research delivery across multiple NHS specialities. The Research Delivery Manager will be part of the Research and Innovation Directorate management team and will play a key role in the development, management, and implementation of our Research Delivery strategic objectives.

Main duties of the job
The Research Delivery Manager will link in with regional and national partners taking forward UHNM Research Delivery. The post holder will support UHNM colleagues to successfully manage their research delivery portfolio, connecting through strategic partnerships, locally and nationally.
The Research Delivery Manager will provide leadership and direction to the research delivery team, whose role is to support and deliver UHNM’s portfolio of research activity. The post holder will oversee the management of the research delivery team by ensuring a flexible and efficient approach to delivering research across all areas.This will require excellent leadership skills and the ability to develop a dynamic research delivery team by drawing on innovative practice.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Current Clinical registration
- Accredited GCP Certificate
- Health related degree
- Evidence of professional/academic development of Master’s Level or equivalent experience
- Evidence of professional development/ management or leadership qualification or extensive experience
- Educated to postgraduate level in research methods or equivalent experience
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria- Extensive and demonstrable clinical experience in a research setting
- A very good understanding of the national research agenda and NIHR strategic objectives
- • Extensive experience of leadership & management of research teams within the NHS
- Demonstrate effective project management skills
- • Understanding of the Clinical Research Network /Regional Research Delivery Network structures and NHS structures.
- • Budget management and the ability to forecast financial sustainability inline with activity and growth.
