Founded in 2003, Alpha Schools has successfully grown to be one of the largest operators of independent schools in the UK. We operate 19 schools, catering for students ranging from infants as young as 4 months old to young adults aged 18 years old.
About the Position
Contract type: Full-time, permanent
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5:30pm, Friday 8:30am – 4pm
Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 (dependent on experience)
Start date: Immediate start available
Location: You will be based at one of our schools in Cheltenham, including Ashley Manor Preparatory School or St Edward's School.
As the Group Admissions Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the admissions process for all schools in the group, from handling phone calls and scheduling tours, to guiding families through their journey from enquiry to enrolment.
- Leading the day-to-day operations of each school’s pupil recruitment strategy, maximising new pupil conversions and increasing existing pupil retention at all entry levels.
- Ensuring all schools deliver an exceptional customer journey.
- Acting as a key brand ambassador for the schools, understanding the local market, and the schools’ value proposition, and appreciating the needs of parents and pupils.
- Delivering regular training to the schools to ensure a professional delivery of service.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience as a successful Registrar/Admissions Officer within the independent education industry (desirable but not essential).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus one year’s experience in an educational setting (Candidates without a bachelor's degree but with equivalent professional experience are encouraged to apply).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and drive to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point and database skills.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
