Junior Technical Support Engineer
Job overview
The Medical Device Service support users of medical equipment across all of our hospital sites within the Northern Care Alliance.
Main duties of the job
You will have a key role in supporting the departments responsibility for the maintenance, repair and sub-contractor management of Medical equipment. This will Include first line support to users of Medical equipment to Optimise systems up time to gain maximum use of Medical equipment.
Ideally, you will possess a minimum of HNC in Electronics and Clinical engineering and have relevant experience since qualifying in the field of Medical Electronics. Knowledge in the application and repair on a wide range of Medical equipment used in a hospital and community is essential although some specific training will be provided.
Consideration may be given to applicants will reduced knowledge and skills, who follow a personnel development program on a reduced grade.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- HNC (level 4/5 BTEC) minimum in Electronics Engineering (Or Equivalent)
- Clinical Engineering Level 3 or above (Or Equivalent)
Professional Registration
Desirable criteria- Register for clinical technologists (RCT).
Knowledge, Training and Experience
Essential criteria- Previous work in a field of electronic maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge in the application and use of a wide range of medical devices across the complexity spectrum.
- Experience of working in a ISO9001 environment.
- Range of supplier approved training on the servicing and repair of Electro biomedical equipment used in Hospitals
Skills/Abilities
Essential criteria- Full clean UK driving licence.
