New Model Quality Engineer - Royal Leamington Spa
Forseven, a revolutionary company is looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, are seeking a New Model Quality Engineer to join our highly skilled and Engineering Operations team.
The role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.
Reporting to the New Model Quality Process Lead, this role will support the introduction of New Models into our Manufacturing partner from a Quality perspective, from the initial planning phase, pre-series and through to series production, to ensure a successful delivery of the Project Quality Deliverables.The individual will be required to operate in a cross functional environment, working alongside the Project Management Office, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Logistics departments
What you will do:
- Engage with the Contract Manufacturing team, to support achievement of the overall Manufacturing Quality targets for the new model and coordinate with other stakeholder functions as required.
- Engage with the Manufacturing partner to implement the necessary Quality processes and activities to support the successful introduction of new models.
- ·Support the development of the necessary Quality Standards and their implementation within the Manufacturing partner, to support Manufacturing Quality activities and evaluations.
- Prepare, organise, and drive the Manufacturing Quality plans and activities with our Manufacturing partner and business stakeholders to achieve the Quality milestones.
- Represent the Manufacturing Quality function in Project meetings and reviews.
- Act as first escalation point for Quality issues from our Manufacturing partner and ensure they are channelled to the correct function for resolution.
Who you are:
- Prior experience in vehicle launches, and a good understanding of Manufacturing Quality requirements in a vehicle launch.
- Relevant Experience with Quality management systems including fault management systems.
- Experience with system design and process mapping.
- Good understanding of problem-solving techniques and quality tools.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
