Job Advertisement: SEMH Teacher for SEMH School in Gloucestershire
Position: SEMH Teacher (Year 9)
Location: Gloucestershire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, with potential for permanent position or long-term until a successful recruitment

Pay Rate: £120-£145 per day for the first 6 weeks, with an increase for long-term booking

About Us: We are a dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Gloucestershire, committed to providing a supportive and structured environment for students with SEMH needs. Our goal is to help each student achieve their full potential through tailored educational programs and support.

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEMH Teacher to join our team and work with Year 9 students. This role is available immediately and offers the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate, or a long-term contract until we successfully recruit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the needs of Year 9 students with SEMH needs.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, addressing behavioural issues promptly and effectively.
  • Student Support: Provide individual support to students, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Assessment: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and reports to students and parents.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive educational experience.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. (unqualified will be considered with evidenced experienced in SEND teaching)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
