Maintenance Plumber

What we are offering:
- Salary up to £38,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Permanent full-time position.
- Monday to Friday, with 1 hour lunch break.

Your Role as a Maintenance Plumber:
As a Maintenance Plumber at HMP Addiewell, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of gas, hot, and cold-water systems within our establishment. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring all work complies with relevant codes of practice, environmental protection requirements, and Sodexo's policies and procedures.You will maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, ensuring all activities meet the highest trade standards.
In addition to technical tasks, you will interact with staff and external visitors professionally and courteously and report any security breaches promptly. You will also be expected to always adhere to Health and Safety policies. Occasionally, you may need to escort specialist contractors and collaborate with them to ensure work is completed to the highest standards.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum level 3 plumbing qualification or successful completion of a plumbing apprenticeship.
- Gas Safe certification.
- Experience in a similar role.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Positive approach to Health and Safety.
- Proactive and systematic approach to tasks.
- Ability to work to time schedules and deadlines.
