INTERNAL APPLICANTS MUST APPLY VIA MYSELF

NLC10 £38,445 - £44,108

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s Operating Model Delivery team as a Community Hub Coordinator. These new roles will act as a first point of contact for hub supports and services, working to understand the needs within a community and developing a holistic approach to the delivery of support and services by working closely with Council officers, public sector partners and local community and voluntary organisations.

Based at one of three community hubs; Newmains & St Brigid’s in Wishaw, Riverbank in Coatbridge and Chryston, the role will organise hub operations and through collaborate partnerships ensure that the hub is recognised as being a well-run, well-used and vibrant community facility, well known across all stakeholders and within the local community.

The roles are within the Council’s Strategy and Engagement function and are perfect for you if you have a passion for developing person centred solutions and experiences focused on improving the social economic wellbeing and prosperity for everyone in our communities.

The role holders will join the team at a critical phase supporting the Council’s transition towards a fully integrated town and community hub model that puts people and communities at the heart of the council’s future service delivery arrangements.

Working in a climate of transformational change and reducing resources, we’re seeking an individual who is experienced in the organisation and delivery of accessible and inclusive public facing community support. This requires a high level of integrity, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

The role holder will have a track record of successful partnership or multi agency working. With a flexible mindset and the ability to see the big picture it’s key that the role holder maintains focus on scope, deliverables, and impact against outcomes.

To be considered for this role it’s essential that you have an HND/SVQ4/degree level or equivalent qualification. The role is also considered Regulated Work with Children and / or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made.

The posts are temporary for 12-24 months. All roles are site-based and located at one of the three hubs stated above.
