We are excited to offer an opportunity for an AP Analyst to join a leading Algorithm Trading Firm based in Central London. This role is perfect for candidates with experience in Accounts Payable (AP) who are eager to expand their skills towards the analytical side of finance.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Account for all invoiced costs, including month-end journal posting and control processes.
• Support the Financial Control team during the month-end close process, particularly with balance sheet account reconciliations (bank, intercompany, prepayments, etc.).
• Produce monthly cost analysis and provide insightful cost reporting, acting as a key business partner for Heads of Departments.
• Maintain professional communication with all suppliers, ensuring prompt resolutions through appropriate follow-up actions.
• Develop a strong understanding of key controls and ensure their adherence.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for improvements to core finance processes and the controls environment.
• Administer the accounts payable mailbox, manage Concur invoice processing, and perform general ledger posting, maintaining a high level of quality control throughout all activities.
• Manage employee expenses processes in Concur, allocating transactions and reconciling to statements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience using accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems logically.
• Keen interest in technology and finance with a passion for professional and technical development.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Confidence and proactivity when interfacing with experienced stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, track record of high performance, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Calm, diplomatic, and professional demeanour at all times.
• Finnish language skills would be advantageous
• Concur experience would be advantageous
