We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Lead Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) pharmacist.

You will lead the pharmacy development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of EPMA across the Trust, working closely with the pharmacy EPMA team and in collaboration with the Trust Digital team.

We are looking for an experienced pharmacist who has excellent communication and organisational skills and an understanding of national IT strategies and EPMA systems. You will be able to influence, negotiate and problem solve complex issues and engage and support staff to successfully implement and roll out EPMA throughout the Trust and provide ongoing review and maintenance of the system.

Main duties of the job

To lead, manage, deliver and evaluate the pharmacy development of an Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration system (EPMA) across the Trust.

To act as line manager for the pharmacy EPMA team.

To lead, support, develop train and monitor Trust colleagues during the implementation of EPMA.

To lead on the configuration, development, testing and rollout of EPMA.

To lead and be responsible for the formulary build and continued maintenance in line with Sheffield Children’s formulary.

To ensure patient safety, security of access, system availability and data accuracy is delivered by the system and meets the requirements of the Trust, its children and young people, and clinical staff.

To ensure adequate business continuity arrangements are in place in case of system failure.

Please note that Sheffield Children's uplift pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is £12.60 per hour.

  • Postgraduate Diploma qualification

Experience

  • Experience of clinical pharmacy services
  • Working with EPMA systems
  • Understanding of project/change management
