Executive Assistant to Director of Medical Science

This organisation is a leading entity in government funding and innovation, supporting medical research and councils. Their mission is to improve health through cutting-edge medical research.

Your new responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support to one Director and potential team support.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively suggest potential meetings and new ideas.
  • Assist the Head of the Executive Chair's private office, who has been with UKRI for 4 years.
  • Manage briefings, take minutes, and ensure all necessary information is accurate and reviewed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR regulations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with three other EAs and one Executive Support Assistant.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within charity, government, or corporate sectors.
  • Ability to handle a high-pressure environment with a high volume of work.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Trustworthy, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.
  • Not an animal rights activist, due to the nature of the research involving animal testing.
  • Long-term commitment to the role.
  • Familiarity with the structure and operations of government-funded research organisations.
