Peasmarsh CE Primary School is a small, successful rural school near Rye.

We are currently looking to appoint a part-time KS1 teacher 0.6 to join our enthusiastic team with effect from 24th February 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave and then continue into a job-share from April. There is a possibility for more hours until Easter.

The successful candidate will have excellent teaching skills and have a passion for making learning exciting. You should be a highly motivated person and committed to continual pupil development. This is a small mixed age class consisting of Y1 and Y2 pupils.

The candidate would be well supported by leadership and a friendly professional community.

The ideal candidate will have ideas, enthusiasm, energy and a desire to make a difference to our children's education and experiences at school, with the ability to challenge, encourage and support the children and your colleagues. You would also have ambition and a commitment to raise standards and make a valuable contribution to the continued improvement of the school.

This is a start date of February 2025 and is a fixed term contract of 5 months, until September 2025 (there may be a possibility of extending this).

The closing date for this position is midday 10th February 2025, with shortlisting taking place that afternoon.
