A special academy focused on supporting children and young people with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across the Rotherham area is seeking School Inclusion Support Workers (ISWs) to join their dedicated team. These professionals are vital in fostering a stimulating, safe, and structured environment where pupils can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing the classroom to ensure a productive and engaging learning environment.
  • Offering support to pupils in class, providing additional help when needed.
  • Assisting pupils with their learning and emotional development, as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date pupil records.
  • Leading specific activities and sessions to inspire and motivate students.
  • Delivering learning routines in school, the community, and at home to promote holistic development.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience in a school or similar environment is essential.
  • Minimum of GCSE-level qualifications in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly SEMH, with the ability to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Flexibility and willingness to drive for work when necessary, to support pupils in various settings.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
