Practice Development Officer / Practice Educator

Rate: £42 per hour

Randstad is seeking an experienced and registered Children's Social Worker to join a Workforce Development Team in Liverpool City Council. This is a non-case holding role ideal for a professional with a passion for mentoring and developing the social care workforce.
About the Role:In this role, you will support and mentor learners while designing and delivering robust Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading initiatives like the ASYE, Apprenticeships, and Step-Up programmes.
- Designing and delivering high-quality training sessions.
- Providing supervision and mentor-ship to social care workforce members, including Practice Educators.
- Promoting good practice across the organisation through audits and supporting the Quality Assurance Service.
Key Requirements:
- Registered social worker with significant experience in children's services.
- Proven background as a Practice Educator or similar role, ideally having led an ASYE programme.
- Strong knowledge of children's legislation, case management, and relevant policies and frameworks.
- Confidence in delivering training and mentoring within the social care sector.
- Ability to work on-site at least three days a week in Liverpool.
