This is an exciting opportunity for an Optical Design Engineer to join the the site in Devon of an industry-leading organisation, working in the R&D team for fibre optical applications. This Optical Engineer is expected to design and develop fibre-optic components, modules and sub-systems.
More specifically high power fibre lasers and amplifiers.
Requirements:
- A PhD in Engineering or Physics
- Experience in fibre optics, high-power fibre lasers
- Experience in design and development of fibre-optic transmission systems
- Ideal candidate will have worked on the development of high-power fibre amplifiers.
- Experience with simulation tools, eg. Zemax, MATLAB, COMSOL or similar
- Ability to relocate to Devon area to be onsite with team ul>If you have experience in the above, please make this clear in your CV.
