Wrisk is a leading embedded car insurance technology platform provider. We work with the world's largest automotive companies to provide branded insurance experiences that can be seamlessly integrated during the purchase journey and beyond.
You will serve as a primary contact between Wrisk and our insurer, and claim partners, and will work closely with our Insurance (including Pricing and Compliance), Commercial, and other internal teams. Your role will be instrumental in delivering innovative insurance solutions to market via our insurer partnerships.You'll support the Insurance Manager and Head of Insurance in managing policy documents, articulating required changes internally, and participating in product development and testing. Effective communication and timely updates with all stakeholders are crucial.
You'll also liaise internally and externally to drive optimal customer and underwriting results and ensure positive customer outcomes with our claim partners. Over time, you will become a key internal resource for insurance-related questions.
Knowledge and Responsibilities
Wrisk acts as a responsible and compliant organisation offering insurance products to customers. This requires a customer centric approach at all levels and at all touch points. The role requires behaviours that can articulate our insurance products, both from a customer and business perspective.
Insurance and claims:
- Be a go to person for day to day insurance queries.
- Be able to become a ‘go to’ subject matter expert for internal colleagues over time, interpreting the business asks or requirements working with the Insurance Manager to turn these into proposals to insurers or suppliers partners and where required our claim partners.
- Develop a good understanding of the Wrisk platform and associated functionality and help interpret system changes to enable insurer acceptance or sign off.
- Working closely with the Wrisk Commercial Team to manage each branded insurance product and help answer BAU insurance questions or queries for our Commercial Team.
- Have a clear understanding of insurance, preferably within the motor insurance sector, and be able to understand the implications of target loss ratios and claims frequency working with internal Wrisk colleagues to help present solutions to insurers.
- Oversight of each insurance product, together with the connected claims performance metrics for each product.
Reporting:
- Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to insurers, brands, and suppliers, along with internal reporting metrics to detail the insurance team deliverables and timelines.
- Support Consumer Duty and good outcomes for customers under the guidance of the Insurance Manager.
Compliance:
- Work closely with the Compliance Team to ensure product governance, conduct risk, and product oversight is completed.
The customer:
- Be able to see through the eyes of the customer, removing insurance jargon, working with the Product and Engineering team to develop customer centric changes. This will include the development of existing products combined with new product deliveries.
- Wrisk has customers at the heart of what we do - you’ll champion this ethos internally and externally.
- Take ownership of all policy documentation, ensuring they are customer centric and are tailored for each of our partner brands.
Solutions:
- Insurance is about providing solutions and by working closely with the Insurance Manager, you’ll help to provide solutions to insurance questions or queries.
MI and insurer reporting:
- Working closely with the MI team, you’ll understand the MI and be able to issue to internal and external MI with commentary.
- Produce quarterly insurer conduct risk packs, highlighting any changes that adversely impact customers.
Pricing & underwriting:
- A close working relationship with the Wrisk Pricing team, the Insurance Manager and the Head of Insurance to collate and support communications to insurer partners.
- An understanding of any pricing changes versus target loss ratio.
- Provide the Contact Centre and Training Team with updated underwriting documents where required.
Regulatory oversight:
- Understand the regulatory environment and is able to understand good outcomes
- Help answer or steer questions from our Compliance Team in terms of insurers, claims, or add on product feedback.
Requirements
Technical Insurance Skills:
- Good knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry.
- Has the ability to learn quickly and be able to understand loss ratios, claim frequency. Support the Insurance Manager with suitable proposals.
- Be able to adapt products, policy wordings, and other customer facing insurance documents for insurer sign off.
- Understand how the insurance claims process works and support the Insurance Team where changes to the customer claim experience is required.
Communication Skills:
- A good communicator both orally and in writing. Being able to get to the point in a concise manner is important.
Organisational Skills:
- Extremely well organised.
- The ability to prioritise in a fast paced working environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
Planning Skills:
- Document and demonstrate planning skills, with the ability to help project manage deliveries with internal and external stakeholders.

- Good listening skills, being able to digest and respond in a calm manner.
Software Skills:
- Fully conversant in word, excel, and PowerPoint.
- A quick learner that is able to understand new technologies and how these can help shape the future of insurance.
Numerical Skills:
- Numerical competency is important.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year insurance experience
- Account executive/handler experience desired
