CGL Barnet has a well-established Community and Outreach team and we pride ourselves on working together positively to support some of the most vulnerable service users in the borough. The team focuses on improving access to treatment to people who are rough sleeping/at risk of rough sleeping, as well as people who are returning to the community following a hospital admission.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Team Leader to join our Barnet team. As a Community and Outreach Team Leader at Change Grow Live, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery. Your role is crucial in fostering a user-focused culture, motivating staff to provide innovative and continuously improving services, and offering leadership, support, and development to a diverse team.

You will need to share our passion for reducing health inequalities and working in an innovative and responsive way, putting service users at the heart of everything we do.

Where: Barnet
Full time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £34,700.09 - £36,635.38 dependent on experience, pro rata if part time hours
Allowance: £2163.27 Outer London Weighting, Pro rata

Contract: 15 Month Fixed term contract until the 31st March 2026 (with the possibility to be extended dependant on funding confirmation)

Responsibilities:

About the role:

  • Operational line management of Community and Outreach Team members
  • Working closely with Royal Free/Barnet Hospital to develop and review clear pathways between hospital and community
  • Ensure that the Community and Outreach Team runs within allocated budgets and that all administrative and data requirements are met.
  • Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities that assist service users reaching their full potential as individuals and community members.
  • Work with your team and Designated Safeguarding Lead (if not your role) to ensure that the practices within the team/service enable identification of service users, children and families who are at risk. Ensure that staff are competent in the delivery of interventions that reduce risk to service users.
  • Support staff to improve service user outcomes through observed practice, providing timely values-based feedback.
  • Lead on the recruitment, selection and induction of staff.

About you:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and leading health and social care services and delivering services which evidence high performance and quality standards.
  • Significant experience of leading teams who work with families where children are subject to social care intervention.
  • Knowledge of current legislation surrounding children, young people, and safeguarding practice
  • Able to lead, inspire and develop a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to use common MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)

Salary Range (pro rata if part time): CGL points 31 to 33 (£34,700.09 - £36,635.37)
