As Forensic Social Worker on Beech Ward, your responsibilities would include: Being an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing high quality social care services to service-users and carers. Providing assessment, care-planning and coordination of care from a social care perspective, contributing to multi-disciplinary team meetings, ward rounds, CPAs, clinical treatment reviews, and other key meetings.
Delivering recovery-focused care and support to service-users and their carers that is focused on the principles of choice, control, and independence, as well as ensuring safety. Complying with both child and adult safeguarding practice in line with current policy, including following up safeguarding referrals and child visit requests.
Liaising and negotiating with other agencies including the Ministry of Justice, Police, Childrens Services, Carers Networks, and other key stakeholders. You must be educated to degree level, have an appropriate social work qualification, and be registered with Social Work England.
You must have knowledge of the key relevant legislation and policies, including safeguarding, as well as experience of care-planning, working with service-users and carers, and working collaboratively. Experience of working in an integrated health and social care setting would be an advantage.
