Reed Brighton is excited to be working alongside an established law firm in East Sussex who are seeking a Legal Secretary to join their Private Client Team. This is a fully office based, permanent and full-time position.
The Role:
- Processing audio dictation using BigHand
- Amending documents from manuscript and copy typing of documents
- File opening and closing.
- Drafting routine correspondence including client engagement letters
- Making and taking calls in a professional manner
- Diary management
- Liaising with clients and other third parties
- Preparing bills, management of payments, receipts and transfers, dealing with arising queries and issues
- Create and maintain database Will, EPA and LPA records
- Handling of original Wills/Powers of Attorney
- Maintain Trust permanent folder
- Land Registry and Companies House searches
- File archiving
Skills needed:
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience of working as a Secretary in a legal environment
- Fast, accurate typing skills, including audio typing
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to follow procedural and legal protocol
- Methodical approach and good time management
- Excellent IT skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Positivity and adaptability
