As an apprentice you will undertake training to carry out a wide range of technical activities associated with the use and management of medical technologies This apprenticeship online programme with Dudley College will cover a wide range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, and will cover units such as: The role of the medical engineer Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace Mathematics for Engineering Technicians Acceptance Testing, Maintaining, Fault Finding and decommissioning of Medical Equipment Anatomy, Physiology and Measurement As well as a range of other mandatory and optional units You will require 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics, English and a Science.
Relevant industry experience and a clear DBS check. You will be expected to have a sound level of mathematics and a good level of written English. Evidence of GCSE Grade A-C in maths and English, of Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent is a requirement for entry onto this course, you will need to provide evidence prior to enrolment.Funding Eligibility Requirements: Lived in the UK for 3 years+ Non-UK nationals who have been ordinarily resident in the UK and Islands for at least the previous 3 years on the first day of learning and: have permission granted by the UK government to live in the UK and such permission is not for educational purposes only, or have obtained pre-settled or settled status under EUSS Prior learning, and experience will be taken into consideration on an individual basis, diagnostic tests will be carried out prior to college enrolment.
