Social Worker - Adults
Overview:
London Borough of Harrow is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to provide a high quality and effective social work service, which responds to the needs of people with lived experiences with care and support needs, their informal carers and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines.All assessments and support plans will be completed in accordance with the wellbeing principles of the Care Act 2014 and reflects a strengths-based approach.

About you:
The successful applicant will have:
- Must hold a qualification in Social Work
- Good demonstrable understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 Mental Health Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent or has the equivalent relevant work experience. (BSc/MA in Social Work, Dip SW/HE or CQSW).
- Knowledge of social work models and interventions, including strengths-based practice models (Desirable).
- Knowledge and understanding of discriminated groups and the ability to ensure that services are appropriately delivered to meet their needs (Desirable).
