We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated accuracy checking pharmacy technician with excellent organisational skills to join our team in Outpatient Pharmacy. As a member of the Outpatient Pharmacy team, you would contribute to the provision of a range of pharmaceutical services: dispensing and issuing prescriptions, giving advice where appropriate, working alongside pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy dispensers to ensure all pharmacy duties are carried out in accordance with legal guidelines and departmental procedures to meet the needs of our customers.
Main duties of the job
This post would suit somebody with a hospital pharmacy background, or with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment. Further training and development will be provided.
You must have successfully completed the relevant training and be registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician.
You should have experience in working as a qualified pharmacy technician, good communication and experience of using computer systems for dispensing, stock control and word processing. You will gain experience with hospital-only medicines and close working with multi-disciplinary teams.
