Fleet Maintenance Technician/Supervisor
Hours: 24/per week + overtime
Shift: 4 days per week: 07.00 hrs – 13: 00hrs
Contract: TemporarySalary: £15 P/H

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of approximately 50 vans at the Edinburgh site.
- Complete and update fleet check sheets as instructed by the Fleet Manager.
- Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and comply with legal requirements.
- Ensure weekly van assessments are completed by the Operations Manager.
- Assist with in-house driver training programs
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Record driver changeovers in the database and complete thorough vehicle handovers.
- Document and report any damage, fuel, or valet charges and liaise with Fleet and Finance Managers.
- Ensure vans are clean and well-maintained, following standards for pay deductions if necessary.
- Champion safe driving and provide feedback on driver safety scores and incidents.
- Manage accident reports, ensuring all necessary details and documentation are collected.
- Keep track of tools, stocks, and supplies for vehicle maintenance.
- Coordinate servicing, MOTs, repairs, and vehicle hiring/off-hiring with local agencies.
- Conduct driver training and assessments for new and existing drivers.
- Requirements:
- Ideally, a motor vehicle mechanic qualification or strong vehicle maintenance experience.
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance/repair, preferably in Rent-a-Car or automotive repair.
- Ability to assess vehicles for legal compliance and damage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to report fleet damages clearly.
- Competence in using PCs, including MS Excel, Word, and email.
- Valid, clean driving license.
- Strong attention to detail, reliable, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
