About you

It would be great if you had experience in:

  • Strong experience of bar, café, restaurant and events work in a management capacity
  • Cash management experience
  • Able to demonstrate experience in stock management and control
  • Strong staff management experience including training, recruitment, rostering

Skills and knowledge of:

  • Strong leadership skills, leading by example
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise a varied workload
  • A strong understanding of operational bar requirements
  • Able to work flexibly, to meet the needs of the business including weekends, holiday periods and a mix of day/evening work

Professional conduct at all time

It also helps if you have:

  • Experience using Zonal systems.
  • Experience in working in multi-organisation sites
  • Useful to have obtained personal licence

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Effectively manage F&B staff
  • Ensure that all F&B outlets are clean, tidy, and presentable always
  • Work with events & hires, programming, and box office colleagues to ensure adequate staffing levels for an efficient service
  • Responsible for cashing up, following set practices
  • Setting and delivering on quality and safety controls
  • Deliver effective stock management to minimize waste and maximize sales
  • Responsible for stock deliveries, required cellar and line maintenance
  • Lead and deliver on upselling strategy
  • Lead and deliver on staff training plans
  • Lead by example with a willingness to adapt to circumstances for a wider team/organizational goal
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of licensing regulations. Ensure that these are known by all staff
  • Resolve customer complaints/queries in a professional and courteous manner, in line with existing policies
  • Assist in recruitment and training of the F&B team
  • Support your own team, and wider programming colleagues, on operational queries
  • Report all incidents immediately in line with established policies and procedures; ensure that all on-duty staff report all

  • Prep and deliver concise and comprehensive shift briefings with a focus on HS&S and excellent customer service
  • Complete daily reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist in recruitment and training of the F&B team
  • Manage the overall setup and service delivery across all F&B outlets as required
  • Ensure that cash handling is completed in accordance with agreed policy and procedure
  • Ensure that all F&B staff members adhere to the correct uniform standards
  • Ensure that all F&B staff members are aware of their duties, and expectations of their role and that they are aware of HS&S
requirements
  • Report any incidents or equipment issues to relevant staff members as needed, following policy and procedure
