Associate Practitioner - Respiratory/Sleep
Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.

Job overview
We are seeking to recruit a reliable and keen individual to work in our dynamic Pulmonary Physiology, Sleep and Ventilation Department situated in the Cardio-Thoracic Centre at our Basildon Hospital site (CTC).
We require an enthusiastic person with excellent interpersonal skills who will enjoy working as part of a team and has the ability to remain calm under pressure. They must be keen to learn and be accurate in their work. The appointee will play a key role in the innovating prestigious department providing a wide range of diagnostic tests and be involved in the sleep and ventilation services.
The service includes a full range of investigations, diagnostics and provide both sleep and ventilation therapies. Main duties of the job
You will assist the department and its team until in house competent. Main duties include: The post holder will perform basic diagnostic tests and provide assistance to other senior colleagues.
Work will include performing a range of basic investigations on patients from all areas of the hospital including the critically ill. On days not required for clinical will help with the house keeping and stock, supporting the department management.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Numeracy and literacy to GCSE standard
- Spirometry Certification
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria- Background knowledge in Respiratory and/or Sleep Medicine
- Experience of being in a demanding environment with changing priorities.
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting
