Role Overview:As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire students to excel in English. You will work closely with the English department to ensure all students receive high-quality instruction, fostering both skills and a love for the subject.
The successful candidate will be adaptable, creative, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to participate actively.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to develop resources and share best practices.
- Prepare students for examinations and coursework, providing the guidance needed for success.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related subject.
- Desirable: Previous experience teaching English at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to bring literature and language to life.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
