We are currently recruiting into our newly created Band 7 Practice Development Nurse post in our friendly and busy Emergency Department.

Newham Emergency Department serves a large diverse population and on average see’s 400-500 patients a day, including acute medical patients, paediatrics, and patients in a mental health crisis.

To lead on the development of staff, the overall strategic learning and development plan and provide support to the senior leadership team in implementing an educational strategy which supports the continuous development of the nursing workforce.

We are fortunate enough to have access to the in-house accredited ED courses and an in-house triage course but would expect the post-holder to develop these further.

You will be self-motivated an excellent communicator and have proven clinical and organisational skills but also have a desire to learn and develop and work as an integral member of our large and dynamic team.

The post holder will work within the NMC Code, trust policies, guidance, and procedures to ensure safe working practices.
