We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Assistants to work with children with SEN in primary schools across Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are eager to provide tailored support to children, helping them thrive in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to children with SEN, assisting them in their academic and social development.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create and implement effective learning strategies.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive outcomes for the pupils.
- Adapt to the individual needs of each pupil, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting (essential).
- A passion for supporting children with SEN and helping them reach their potential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £49.50, plus an annual subscription fee of £16 for the Update Service.
