Job Title: Portfolio Delivery & Governance LeadKey Relationships: Project Managers & Delivery Leads, Group Head of Change, Head of Business Change, Business Stakeholders, Finance.
Job Summary: As Portfolio Delivery & Governance Lead, you will work with the Head of PMO to establish the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, where you will be responsible for overseeing and tracking the delivery the Enterprise change portfolio, ensuring delivery of all portfolios remain on track and visible to key stakeholders across the business.
You will be responsible for establishing and embedding Enterprise portfolio management processes, creating the environment for delivery success.
This role includes the line management of the Portfolio Delivery Team, where you will foster an environment for efficient, successful delivery, and ensure your team provide high quality portfolio services, providing confidence the portfolio remains under control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the provision of Enterprise Portfolio Delivery Services, delegating portfolio delivery responsibilities across the team to achieve maximum effectiveness and coverage
- Line manager to the Enterprise Portfolio Delivery team, whose delivery service capability you will help develop, while ensuring there is coverage of all projects across the organisation
- Promote and nurture a culture that motivates and inspires excellent collective performance
- Develop reporting frameworks, design user-focused outputs to provide visibility, analysis and insights to enable effective decisions and action to be taken.
- Develop portfolio-wide dependency management capability, leveraging existing tools and standards and integrating roadmaps.
- Oversee governance and reporting on the wider portfolio, tracking interdependencies and changes to roadmaps and milestones, escalating risks & issues
- Oversee risk management across the portfolio identifying, assessing and managing risks to delivery timelines.
- Conduct proactive health checks and reviews of sub portfolios, support the team to make recommendations, acts as an escalation.
- Oversees the tracking and managing cost against approved budgets at initiative/portfolio level with the support of the Finance.
- Responsible for maintaining quality standards, metrics and training across the portfolio to maintain rigor and effective oversight of the change portfolio.
- Oversee track and monitoring of the delivery of expected benefits from projects and programmes within the portfolio
- Highlights learnings to feed into the improvement of the Change Governance model and related frameworks (VRF, CMF etc)
- Works with the Head of PMO to define how best to utilise the team to support project delivery, embedding the team across key projects when and if required
