JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
To organise and deliver the installation of projects against a PM planned project installation programme and timetable. To ensure that installation times are in line with the planned schedule, whilst meeting Avanti standards of quality, customer service, professionalism, and discipline.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for leading individual teams on site to specific installation goals, from installation start to final test and acceptance sign off.
- Participate in meetings and consultations alongside the Project Manager and Installation Manager, with customers and internal stakeholders.
- To be on site for the full duration of the installation. This role involves significant periods of time working away from home, which often include weekends and public holidays.
- Work on the tools with the installation team in a mechanical or electrical capacity, ideally both.
- Organise and supervise site acceptance tests and customer training, along with the Installation manager, to achieve final project sign off.
- Manage the Avanti project delivery team including Installation Technicians, PLC, and Software Engineers, to ensure that each project runs to the project schedule and is delivered On Time and In Full.
- Make continuous improvement suggestions that will benefit future projects through feedback to Avanti’s design and manufacturing team.
- To work safely at all times and to promote good Health and Safety practice within the business.
- Excellent people management skills and a proven ability to manage teams on site on large, long term installation projects.
- Ability to make quick decisions on site if any issues or problems are found.
- Ability to deal with complex tasks and deliver them to known timelines.
- Ability to build relationships with customers to generate confidence and a good rapport.
- Proactive. Able to think ‘out of the box’ and provide solutions rather than present issues.
- Appropriate hands-on experience and ideally has an in-depth knowledge of the automated processing machinery, materials handling field.
- Clear communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise well.
- Attention to detail and pride in work - accurate and methodical in work.
- Confident, calm, reliable, trustworthy, and cheerful. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and determined.
- Holds a driving licence.
SUMMARY:
This individual will drive the delivery of the installation of Projects on time, and achieve a prompt project sign off. They will communicate the progress on the project plan to Project Manager and Installation Manager from start to finish of the project.
