Role Introduction:

The Senior Programme Manager is responsible for delivering change. The role requires effective co-ordination of the programme’s projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the co-ordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits.

A proven ability to strategise and implement high-level programme initiatives is critical for the success of this role. As a natural leader, this person should have strong talent for project co-ordination and delegation. Ultimately, the Senior Programme Manager should be motivated by a desire to optimise productivity and nurture programme success from inception to completion.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with programme sponsor, cross-functional teams, and other key stakeholders to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Manage programme and project teams to deliver to time, on budget and quality, as well as coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
  • Be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives and identify key requirements for cross-functional teams
  • Analyse, evaluate, and track programme risks, providing a clear mitigation strategy
  • Ensure that scope is monitored and controlled on projects and that any deviation is proactively addressed through re-planning and change control, where necessary, to safeguard programme baselines

  • Helps team hold each other accountable for goals, adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Tracks team metrics and milestones, redirecting effort, as necessary, for continued progress
