Medical Laboratory Assistant
Job overview
Please note this role does not have the necessary laboratory exposure to allow for completion of an IBMS pre-registration portfolio. It is more suited for admin & support workers. In addition, due to the shift patterns and times, candidates must be aware of their own travel arrangements.
An opportunity has arisen to join our busy high-quality team of Medical Laboratory Assistants based in the joint Pathology reception area. The team at Harrogate is small and friendly, requiring a high degree of teamwork and co-operation from its members, so candidates should be prepared to be part of the close-knit environment fostered in the department.
The positions available are evenings (suggested times may be 16:00-21:00), part time or full time up to 37.5 hrs per week, on a roster covering earlies, day shifts, evenings until 21:00 hrs, weekends and bank holidays. The emphasis is on staffing GP deliveries which are currently scheduled for end of day 16:00-21:00 and weekend/BH 9:00-16:00 on a rota basis. This would enable staff to arrange an easy commute to and from the Hospital in a timely manner to cover the service need. Please indicate clearly on your application and at interview whether you are interested in the full or part time position
