Care Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes or care settings. The successful candidate will assist service users with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
- Support clients with mobility and safe movement
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding where required
- Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans and company policies
- Offer emotional support and companionship
- Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Monitor and record changes in clients’ health and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate care records and report concerns to senior staff
- Support service users to attend appointments and social activities
- Promote dignity, respect, privacy, and independence at all times
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures
- Previous care experience preferred (but training may be provided)
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings/weekends if required
- Relevant care qualification (NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care) desirable
- Enhanced DBS check (required)
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle (if community-based role)
