Fixed-term 1 year in the first instance
An exciting opportunity to join an established and vibrant Music Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher, who strives to share their passion for Music and can facilitate all students to feel success in Music lessons.
The right candidate will be someone looking to be part of a team, working with two experienced Music colleagues and our students. Inside and outside the classroom our students value Music. Key Stage 3 have 1-hour lessons each week. They develop a broad range of skills and are highly practical focusing on making music.We have healthy numbers at GCSE with 50 students. There will also be the opportunity to teach Music A level.
Outside lessons we have a number of bands, an Orchestra, String Group, 3 choirs and a musical each year. In the last 12 months our young musicians have performed at The Menin Gate in Ypres, The Royal Albert Hall, and Fentham Hall in Hampton in Arden.We offer instrumental lessons through Solihull Music Service and DJ lessons. Our accommodation comprises of two music classrooms; one with keyboards and the other with PCs, 6 dedicated Practise Rooms and we have access to the school hall with a grand piano as a concert venue.
