Commercial Finance Manager

We are looking for a driven, highly motivated Commercial Finance Manager with a desire to succeed within a fast-paced environment which offers a great collaborative atmosphere and an environment to thrive in!

What you’ll be responsible for:
Financial Management- Leading on month end processes - support to Management Accountant and Finance Assistant, review and final preparation of pack.
- Review and improvement of current reporting processes.
- Cash Flow and Balance Sheet Management.
- Intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Review of quarterly VAT reporting.
- Oversight of capex including maintenance of accurate asset records and reporting.
- Liaising and coordinating with the external auditors.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for Broadwick Entertainment (including balance sheet and cash flow).
- Develop financial models to assess performance, profitability, and long-term financial sustainability of current and new projects.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that highlight key business metrics and financial performance.
- Analyse and interpret key variances from budget and forecast, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor commercial and financial performance.
- Prepare detailed analysis on sales, margins, and pricing strategies to ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Present financial insights to the executive team and board, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Act as a finance partner to all Broadwick Live teams (management, music, operations, production, marketing) to provide insights and guidance on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects, pricing analysis, and profitability assessments.
- Support senior management with decision-making by preparing ad-hoc financial analysis and business case modelling.
- Provide strategic insights to drive profitability, improve margins, and optimise cost structures across business operations.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost savings, and process - improvement in commercial activities.
- Analyse market trends, competitor performance, and economic indicators to inform strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard business interests.
- Assist in managing cash flow, working capital, and credit risk to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
- Liaising with the people team and company payroll across salaries, new starters/leavers and management of the bonus in partnership with the line manager.
- Supporting the line manager with resource planning and leading on recruitment.
- Leading on the performance management and development of direct line reports.
- Managing People/HR proceedings as required.
- Identifying training needs and guiding team development, working with the line manager and other business directors.
- Creating a work environment that aligns with Broadwick values and principles.
- Supporting the Group Finance Director with carrying out ad hoc duties when required to.
You’ll need to have:
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- A cool head in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment.
- Prioritisation and time management are key.
- Exceptional organisation, and a love for administration and process improvement.
- An open, honest communication style.
- A proactive approach to your work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt your messaging for different audiences.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- The ability to be proactive and prioritise effectively, as you will assist with managing multiple projects that the finance team are working on.
- The ability and keen appetite to take ownership of your designated tasks.
- A strong attention to detail.
