We are looking for a personal assistant to support our 22-year-old son who has epilepsy and autism. He lives separately, in Richmond, and works several days a week.The role involves providing assistance with day-to-day tasks on a shift basis covering 24 hours a day.
You will also need to provide medical support during seizures for which training will be given. You don’t need to have any prior first aid knowledge. It’s essential that you are a non-smoker.It is essential that you have your own car so that you can provide transport to work.The right person will have a youthful take on life, showing initiative and enthusiasm, and the ability to be a kind and patient companion.
Ideally, they might share some of our son’s interests which include: football, wildlife, music, cooking and travel.Depending on your availability, the role could involve anything from a few hours to several days per week.
