An exciting opportunity has arisen within BDCFT for a Band 5 community nurse to work within the School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS) based in Bradford.
The team is based in Horton Park and Undercliff Health Centre, and as we cover the whole of the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, the successful applicant must be able to meet the travel requirements of the job.
The Bradford Immunisation Team is an innovative, dynamic, fun, and supportive team dedicated to improving immunisation rates across the area, as well as reaching out to those who are harder to reach or no longer in mainstream education.
This is a fast moving and very busy environment to work in, so you must be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and be a team player.
As we work within a diverse community, excellent communication skills are a must.
Applicants will need to be innovative and demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly and cooperatively with colleagues within the team and wider multidisciplinary teams across the whole Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven area.
Main duties of the job
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm but on pre-arranged days the post holder may need to start from 8.00am to ensure vaccination sessions start on time. The post holder will be required to work until 5.00pm to support after school clinics and the occasional Saturday.
You must be RN qualified and have current NMC registration.
This is a part time role of 22.5 hours per week working flexibly over the whole year to meet service need.
The successful candidate will help to deliver the school aged vaccination programme in a safe and inclusive manner, working within the NMC code of conduct.
This role is mainly office and school based, but in school holidays you will be involved in running clinics in variety of settings.
