Evening Facilities Technician
We are seeking an Evening Facilities Technician to support the Facilities Manager in looking after the building and grounds at Cornwallis Academy, New Line Learning Academy and Tiger Primary School. You will be responsible for a wide range of duties including maintenance, cleanliness and security of the school building and grounds.
Our core operations run Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 10:00pm, with additional lettings taking place at weekends. This structure gives us real flexibility to shape the role around the right person.
Responsibilities of the post holder are not limited to, but will include:
- Regular maintenance of the site ensuring it remains clean and accessible at all times.
- Securing the premises at the end of the day.
- Carry out day to day repairs / maintenance of the buildings
- Be part of the alarm callout rota as required, so access to a vehicle if essential
- Assist with events and general running of the schools
- In conjunction with the Facilities Manager organise external contractors to undertake maintenance work that cannot be carried out in-house.
A good understanding of plumbing, electrical systems and DIY would be desirable.
