Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a skilled and dedicated Band 6 Radiographer with a specialty in MRI to join their dynamic Radiology team

Main duties of the job- Ensure full awareness and competency in all areas of MRI safety, adhering to MHRA guidance.
- Accurately position patients within the MRI scanner, ensuring correct placement of imaging coils and patient cooperation.
- Perform MRI examinations in line with departmental protocols, minimizing exposure risks for MRI referrals.
- Execute a comprehensive range of complex radiographic procedures independently.
- Manage patients' conditions during examinations, including those with severe trauma or distress.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
- Current relevant professional registration (HCPC Registration)
- Previous experience in MRI radiography.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety and patient care protocols.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in complex situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with vulnerable patients.
