Job Description

Business Development Manager
  • Own and drive new business development across key sectors including manufacturing (general and food & beverage), pharma, healthcare, education, hospitality, government, retail, and more..
  • Rapidly respond to marketing-qualified and sales-qualified leads while also generating your own pipeline.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a robust CRM pipeline, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Conduct needs assessments and liaise with technical teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client challenges.
  • Deliver compelling demos, manage negotiations, and close deals.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell within existing accounts to maximise client value.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term customer success.
  • Represent company at networking events and trade shows to grow brand awareness and open doors

The Successful Applicant

Business Development Manager
  • A strong track record in B2B sales and business development, ideally within tech, IoT, or related fields.
  • Experience working across a mix of sectors, adapting your approach to suit clients from operational managers to C-suite executives.
  • Confidence and professionalism in cold outreach and lead generation.
  • Understanding of SaaS and real-time monitoring technologies (especially around energy, environmental, temperature, or legionella monitoring - a bonus).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.
  • Strong CRM experience with a disciplined, data-driven approach to sales.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset - you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves to hit and exceed targets.
